Amy is a hairstylist and make-up artist who specialises hairstyling make-up for weddings and events. She has a particular love of combing old classic looks with the modern.
She is a native of Southend-on-Sea, Essex, who moved to Norwich in 2003 to attend the Norwich School of Art and Design and graduated in 2006 with a BA (Hons) Fine Art.
Loving life in Norwich she decided to stay.
Since going to her first Hemsby Rock’n’Roll Weekender in 2004 her interest and enthusiasm for hairstyles from days gone by grew. In 2009 she was given the amazing opportunity to train at the UK’s first vintage hair salon based in London – Nina’s Hair Parlour. From here Amy brought her skills back to Norwich and continued her work at Flint, where she works today.
Amy loves the variety of work her job allows her to do, and as well as working at the salon she works regularly on photoshoots, fashion shows, at weddings, parties and runs workshops too. She loves creating everything from beautiful vintage hairstyles through to fashion inspired avant garde creations.
In 2012 Amy trained at The Session School in west London to study make-up. Since then she has had work featured on TV, on vogue.co.uk, worked for Topman and styled hair for hundreds of weddings.
Thank you so much for being such a trooper and not only that, such good company to have around as you were doing everyones hair. It’s a stressful time with Bridezillas and so much going on and you did a great job. Not only that, I was absolutely delighted with how my hair looked on the day, it stayed in place fantastically, and now we’ve got the photos back I’m even more chuffed.
Thank you so much Amy. You are a genius, I had many many compliments about my hair yesterday and felt a million dollars. You definitely went above and beyond with helping my nephew to tie his tie and generally keeping me calm. I will be recommending you to everyone.
